PSILOCYBE MEXICANA A – FLESH OF THE GODS
The indigenous people of South America have known Psilocybe Mexicana as the flesh of gods for thousands of years. Until Albert Hofmann, the man who discovered LSD, isolated and identified psilocybin and psilocin in his Swiss laboratory in 1957, the Western public was completely unaware of the psychedelic effects of magic mushrooms. Hofmann used Psilocybe mexicana, which had been specially bred for this purpose. Until Albert Hofmann, the scientist who discovered LSD, isolated and identified the compounds psilocybin and psilocin in his Swiss laboratory in 1957, the psychedelic properties of magic mushrooms were completely unknown to the Western public. Additionally, he employed Psilocybe mexicana, a strain specifically cultivated for this procedure.
Psilocybe Mexicana is one of the rare strains that produce sclerotia (our magic truffles); there are actually TWO varieties of the Psilocybe Mexicana – Psilocybe Mexicana A and Psilocybe Mexicana B – but only the “A” variety develops those magic truffles.
EFFECTS OF THE MAGIC TRUFFLES “PSILOCYBE MEXICANA”:
Psilocybe Mexicana is a relatively mild strain, but it shouldn’t be taken lightly. Five grams will give you a strange feeling of twisted reality, though your visuals will probably be mild or nonexistent. Ten grams will give you a medium trip with visuals, and a full pack of fifteen grams will send you into orbit. Your senses will be sharpened and you’ll be able to “think outside the box,” all of which is accompanied by a strong feeling of euphoria and sporadic fits of laughter. The Psilocybe Mexicana receives a five-star rating. A 5-gram dosage is sufficient to produce an odd sense of warped reality, but you won’t likely see anything, or if you do, it will be minimal. A full pack of 15 grams will send you into orbit, while 10 grams will give you a medium trip with visuals. You’ll be able to “think outside the box,” improve your senses, and experience intense exhilaration and sporadic bouts of laughter. The Psilocybe Mexicana receives an overall strength rating of 2.5 on a five-point rating system.
